Support
Stuck on something?
The guides below cover almost everything. If they do not cover yours, write to us — a person reads it.
Talk to us
Email trainlogfeedback@gmail.com, or use Send feedback in the app (Profile → Feedback), which fills in your app and OS version for you.
A feedback message carries only what you write, the app version and the OS version — never your training data or your body metrics.
The user guide
Written in plain English: getting started, fixing a mistyped set, what "estimated 1RM" means, moving to a new phone, and an FAQ. There are two of them, because the phones genuinely differ — the watch chapter, where you cancel a subscription and what a backup does not contain are all different enough that one guide would have to hedge every other sentence.
Quick answers
The things support gets asked, with the steps rather than a link to more reading.
I typed the wrong weight or reps
Any logged set can be corrected or removed.
- Open the exercise you logged it under.
- Find the set in the list of what you have already done today.
- Edit the numbers, or delete the set outright.
Your records and your analysis recalculate from the corrected numbers straight away.
I am moving to a new phone
Trainlog keeps nothing on a server, so a new phone starts empty unless you carry your history over yourself.
- On the old phone: Profile → Export, and put the file somewhere you will find it — Drive, iCloud, or an email to yourself. You can protect it with a passphrase.
- On the new phone: install Trainlog and sign in to the same store account, so Premium comes with you.
- Profile → Import, pick the file, and enter the passphrase if you set one.
Exporting is free. Importing a backup is part of Premium. Do the export before you wipe the old phone — without the file there is nothing to restore from, and we do not have a copy.
I paid, but Premium is not showing
Check that the phone is signed in to the store account you bought with, then use Restore purchases on the paywall. If it still does not appear, email us the store receipt and we will sort it out.
How do I cancel Premium?
The subscription is managed by the app store, not by us, so it is cancelled in the same place as every other subscription on your phone.
- iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Trainlog.
- Android: Play Store → your profile picture → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions → Trainlog.
Cancelling stops the renewal; you keep Premium until the period you have paid for runs out. Your training data stays on your phone either way, and exporting it stays free.
I want everything deleted
Profile → Delete everything. It wipes the rows and destroys the encryption key, so what is left on the phone cannot be read even in principle. There is a confirmation first, and it cannot be undone — export a backup first if there is any doubt.
There is nothing for us to delete on our side, because there is nothing on our side. Your subscription is a separate thing, held by the app store; cancel it there.
My watch is not showing my plan
The watch app is part of Premium, and it mirrors what is on the phone rather than fetching anything itself.
- Check that the watch and the phone are paired and in range.
- Open Trainlog on the phone once — the plan is sent from there.
- On Apple Watch, make sure the Trainlog app is installed (iPhone Watch app → Available apps).
Sets logged on the watch travel back to the phone the same way, so open both once when you get home if a session looks incomplete.
What does "estimated 1RM" mean?
Your estimated one-rep max: what the app calculates you could lift once, from the weight and reps you actually logged. It exists so that progress counts either way — eight reps at 80 kg is real progress over six reps at 80 kg, and a number that only tracked weight would miss it entirely. It is an estimate from a formula, not an instruction to go and test it.
Is my training data really only on my phone?
Yes. There is no account and no server of ours. Everything lives in an encrypted database on the device, and the only things that ever leave are a backup file you export, a feedback message you send, and the subscription payment, which the app store handles. The full detail is in the privacy policy.
Supported devices
If a device is not on this list, Trainlog does not run on it. We would rather say so here than let you find out after installing.

| Android phone | Android 7.0 or later | The full app. |

| Wear OS | Wear OS 3 or later | Samsung Galaxy Watch, Google Pixel Watch. Part of Premium. |
